General conditions of the centres.
Centres authorised to teach specialist health training courses will be subject to compliance with the provisions of Agreement STCW-78/95 and, in particular, the following:
- Implementation of a quality system (established under Rule I/8 and Section A-I/8).
- Guarantee that those responsible for training and assessment are duly qualified in the material taught and that the training of students is administered, supervised and controlled pursuant to the provisions of Rule I/6 and Section A-I/6.
- Guarantee that the theory-practical content is taught and the time frames established for each beginners' and advanced specialist health training course and refresher courses are respected.
- Guarantee the minimum safety and comfort conditions at the sites where courses are provided; equipment, teaching materials and facilities for each level of beginners' and advanced specialist health training established in the annex to Order PRE/646/2004, of 5 March, which establishes the minimum content for specialist health training programmes and the conditions for teaching and approving health training certificates for seafarers.
