General Information
| Purpose: |
Financial benefit that aims to cover the loss of income that occurs during the period of suspension of the contract due to risk during breastfeeding, in cases in which the worker should change her job or activity for another that is compatible with her situation, such a change is not technically or objectively possible or cannot reasonably be required for justified reasons. |

Beneficiaries/Requirements: |
Female employees or self-employed workers included in any Social Security Scheme, in a situation of suspension of the work contract or interruption of their professional activity due to risk during breastfeeding, who meet the necessary requirements:

Contents/amount: |
Subsidy equivalent to 100% of the corresponding base rate , which will be the one established for the TD benefit derived from occupational contingencies. When the payment is made, the amounts for social security contributions and the withholdings for personal income tax will be deducted. |

| Where is it processed? |
The application and necessary documentation must be submitted to any of the Social Security Attention and Information Centres of the Management Entity or, where applicable, to the Social Security Mutual Society Partner. |

Competent body: |
The management and payment of the benefit corresponds to the Provincial Directorate of the Managing Body (INSS or ISM ), in which the interested party is domiciled, or to the Social Security Mutual Society Partner, depending on the Entity that covers occupational risks. |
| Deadlines: |
The provincial Director of the management organisation in the province in which the interested party resides will make a direct decision and notify the interested party within 30 days. The entitlement to the benefit expires 5 years from the day after the date of the triggering event, notwithstanding the fact that the effects came into force within the 3 months prior to the application date. |
