Risk during pregnancy or breastfeeding

To apply for the benefit from the INSS, your company must have the occupational risk insured with this Management Entity. If the insurance is with a Mutual Collaborating Insurance Company, you must apply to them and they will pay the benefit at their own expense. If you are a seafarer and your company has occupational risk insurance with the Social Marine Institute, you must apply to this Management Entity using the form for the Special Scheme for Seafarers.

Before applying for the benefit, you must provide the medical certificate of the risk using the forms that can be found in the corresponding section, bearing in mind that, if you are an employee, you must also fill in the "Company declaration of the risk situation". If you are self-employed, you must complete the "Self-employed worker's declaration of risk status".

If you have a medical certificate of risk and wish to apply for the benefit, you must download and complete the application form in the section below, together with the following documents:

For employees:

• Company certificate with the contribution bases for common contingencies.
• Medical certification of the existence of risk, in cases where this is not in the possession of the management entity.
• Statement from the company or declaration from the person in charge of the family home that there is no compatible position and that the contract has been suspended.

For workers in the Special System for Domestic Employees:

• Employer's certificate for worker applications from the special system for domestic employees.
• Medical certification of the existence of risk, in cases where this is not in the possession of the management entity.
• Statement from the company or declaration from the person in charge of the family home that there is no compatible position and that the contract has been suspended.
