Communication of identity document of health care beneficiaries

New service on the platform for benefit applications and procedures without electronic certificate or cl@ve

A service is now available without a certificate whereby you can provide the identity document (DNI or TIE) of your beneficiaries for inclusion in the National Social Security Institute medical assistance database.

You can present the identity card of your beneficiary even if he/she is under 14 years of age and must present it from the moment it becomes compulsory to issue it:

• DNI once over 14 years old.
• TIE from the start of residence in Spain.

To do this, you can access the "Communication of the medical assistance beneficiary identification document" service through the "Application and procedures for Social Security benefits" platform and in just two steps you can:

• Download and fill in the form.
• Send your application.

IMPORTANT: This service is not intended for requesting the change of a NIE for a DNI. You can change your NIE for a DNI from the "Personal details" service in your personal area in Importass.  If you have no means of identification, you will need to present a copy of both sides of your ID card and a selfie with the front side of your ID card.
