RED News Bulletin 01/2026, dated 8 January, is available in the RED News area and contains the following items:

  • RDL 1/2023. Implementation of the measures contained in DA 9: fixed-term contracts to replace workers who are victims of sex-based violence or sexual violence.
  • Royal Decree 919/2025 of 15 October. Forestry and environmental agents. Coefficient reducing the retirement age.
  • Amendment to the termination process for companies/affiliates of a RED authorisation.

It is reported that, for technical reasons, there has been a delay in the processing of the contribution files. The actions to be taken depending on the status of the settlement are indicated.

  • Settlements by direct debit for which a confirmation file has been sent before 23:59 hours on 22 January:
    • When the confirmation file is processed, if the settlement is calculated in its entirety and there are no changes with respect to the previous draft, the Contributions Settlement Receipt will be issued by direct debit and the corresponding debit will be issued.
    • If the settlement is calculated in its entirety, but there have been changes in the amount with respect to the previous draft, a Settlement Calculation Document will be issued, and it will be confirmed in the first official electronic payment closing, and the corresponding receipt will be issued, the amount of which must be paid into the financial institution.
    • If the settlement is processed with errors, you must send a new base file with the correct data. If this submission is made before 23:59 hours on the 23rd and the settlement is calculated in full, it will be included in the first electronic payment closing. If the base file with the correct data is sent after the 23rd, a settlement confirmation file must be sent. If it is not done, it will be closed automatically on 28 January.
  • Electronic payment settlements:
    • Regardless of when they are processed, all settlements submitted before 23:59 hours on the 23rd that are correctly calculated will enter the first ex officio closure. It is expected that the contribution settlement receipts for this mode of payment will be issued from 26 January.
    • Settlements that have been processed in error must send a correct base file. If the submission is made before 23:59 hours on the 23rd, they will be entered into the first electronic payment closing. If the base file with the correct data is sent after the 23rd, a settlement confirmation file must be sent. If it is not done, it will be closed automatically on the 28th.

The RED News Bulletin 02/2026 of 5 February 2026 is available in the RED News area, which contains the following items:

  • RDL 3/2026. Article 3. Updating of the maximum and minimum contribution bases and other aspects of contributions in the Social Security system.
  • RDL 3/2026. First final provision. Incorporation of the sixty-first additional provision in the TRLGSS. Premium rates for Social Security contributions for accidents at work and occupational diseases.
  • Royal Decree 919/2025 of 15 October. Forestry and environmental agents. Coefficient reducing the retirement age.
  • Allowance for non-profit non-professional sports entities. Special cases.

We would like to inform you that, on 16 February, an improvement will be implemented in the telephone customer service system for RED Authorised Users and more specifically in the identification process, with the aim of reinforcing the security of the service, guaranteeing the correct identification of users and improving the quality of the service.

For this purpose, the call flow shall be amended as follows. First, the user must select option 1 RED Authorised and then enter their authorisation number, which will be automatically validated. Once you have passed this verification, you will hear the usual menu and, after selecting the desired option, you must indicate the type of identification document by selecting 1 if you have a DNI or 2 if you have a NIE. Subsequently, only the numbers of the document must be marked, following the indications of the voice: in the case of DNI, the numbers without the final letter and in the case of NIE, the numbers without the initial or final letter. The system will check that the document number entered corresponds to an authorisation user, allowing up to three attempts in case of error.

This validation will be applied in the sub-options of the telephone numbers 901 50 20 50 and 91 541 02 91, corresponding to Registration and Settlement of Companies, Self-Employed and Household Employees, RED Authorised Management, e-Office, Notifications and Powers of Attorney, INSS IT Parts, Executive Collection and Regularisation of Self-Employed Contributions, as well as in option 1 of the RETA Regularisation service in the telephone numbers 91 908 70 67 and 901 20 30 40. This new functionality will not affect the Software Installation option.
