Other important information

  • Insurance periods credited in either country prior to the date of entry into force of the Convention shall be taken into account in determining the entitlement to and the amount of benefits under the Convention.
  • The application of this Agreement shall confer entitlement to benefits for contingencies occurring prior to the date of its entry into force. However, in no case shall they be paid for periods prior to the entry into force of this Agreement.
  • Pensions which have been granted by one or both Parties or pension rights which have been denied before the entry into force of this Agreement may be reviewed under this Agreement and in accordance with the legal procedure established in each Party, at the request of the persons concerned.
  • Benefits paid in the form of an indemnity or unique payment shall not be reviewed.
