Medidas extraordinarias DANA 2024

The seriousness of the personal and material damage caused by the DANA (Isolated High Level Depression) located over the peninsula and the Balearic Islands between 28 October and 4 November 2024, has required immediate and urgent action from the Public Administrations.

The nature and scale of the catastrophe and the damage caused constitute circumstances of extraordinary and urgent necessity that enable the Government, in accordance with the provisions of Article 86 of the Spanish Constitution, to adopt the extraordinary measures, initially set out in Royal Decree-Law 6/2024 of 5 November, in response to the damage caused by the DANA, and completed with Royal Decree-Law 7/2024 of 11 November, adopting urgent measures to promote the Plan for immediate response, reconstruction and relaunching in response to the damage caused by the Isolated High Level Depression (DANA), aimed at contributing to the restoration of normality in the affected areas and including, among other issues, measures in the field of Social Security that allow the social and economic impact caused by the DANA to be addressed.
