Suspension of collection procedures

Until 28 February 2025, all procedures for the collection of Social Security contributions and for joint collection concepts, as well as any other resource of the Social Security system, will be suspended with respect to companies with their place of business in the affected localities, as well as self-employed workers and self-employed workers of the Special Scheme for Seafarers, with their place of residence or place of business in the aforementioned localities.

Should any action be taken to apply for this measure?

This measure is applied automatically by the Social Security General Treasury, without the need for any application.

Both the start of the procedures for the collection of Social Security contributions and joint collection concepts, as well as the continuation of their actions, aimed at both companies affected by the DANA and self-employed workers included in any of the Social Security schemes affected by the civil protection emergency, are suspended from 7 November 2024 until 28 February 2025. From the end of this period, the Social Security collection procedure may be initiated or continued.

This suspension shall also apply to resources subject to the collection management of Social Security other than contributions.
