No. The application can only be used by pensioners residing abroad.

If you are registered in VIVESS because you were living abroad and have subsequently moved to Spain, you can use VIVESS to report your change of address abroad, if necessary. 

VIVESS is a mobile application available for Apple and Android that can be used by pensioners living abroad to complete the annual proof of life procedure.

The application allows you to carry out the procedure without having to go anywhere and obtaining immediate confirmation.

You can also use the application to change your payment method from cheque to bank transfer, change your payment bank account, change your residence address and submit your tax residence certificate. 

To use VIVESS you must follow these steps:

A) Download the application. Available on Apple Store and Google Play.
B) To carry out the registration. You will only need to perform this step once.

To register, you will need to provide either your ID card number or your pension file number. You can also register with Cl@ve.

You must also enter your country of residence and your date of birth.

You must then select the document with which you are going to carry out the video-identification. To do this, show the back and front of the document to the camera, and show your face and your best smile, following the instructions given by the application.

C) The proof of life. As a last step, click on "click to provide proof of life" and smile at the camera again.
D) The application will issue an immediate proof of life.

The proof of life period runs from 1 January to 31 March 2025.

Before this date, you can download the application and register, but not provide the proof of life.

Your pension will be suspended until you can prove that you are alive, which you can do at any time during the year.

On Google Play, if your mobile phone has the Android operating system, or on the Apple Store, if it is iOS.

You can download the application and register and provide proof of life from any mobile device.

If your mobile phone does not allow you to download the application, you can use the phone of a person you trust.

The application is available in Spanish, English, French and German. The default language on your mobile phone will be automatically selected. However, if you wish, you can always change it.

Android version 8.1 or higher is required to download the application.

Check that you have all camera permissions activated and make sure you do the video identification in a place with good light and no other people near you.

No. The submission of the proof of life via the application has an effect on the two pensions you receive.

This applies even if you have registered in the app with the file number of one of your pensions.

No, only the pensioner can provide proof of their own life with VIVESS.

Yes, the application works from anywhere in the world. 

Yes, when you show the document the application verifies your face and the document number. For these purposes only, it does not matter if your National Identity Card is not valid.

Yes. You can register in the application by entering your pension file number and use in the next step the ID card of the country you select and which is allowed by the Mobile App.
These documents vary from country to country.

The file number can be found in the decision recognising your pension.
You can also find it in the pension revaluation letter sent to you each year, as well as in the information letter sent to you by your institution.

No. Once the application has confirmed that you have successfully provided proof of life and the receipt has been issued, you do not have to take any additional steps. The following day, you will obtain the decision issued by the INSS (or ISM, as the case may be) in the same application, in which you are considered to have provided proof of life. 
You do not have to send any documents by post to the Provincial Directorate which administers your pension.

No. This application is an additional means of providing proof of life, which is intended to save you unnecessary travel and make it easier for you to do so. 

However, you may use the other means available to you if you prefer, i.e:

• Send the 'Fe de Vida' by ordinary mail to the Provincial Directorate of the INSS (or ISM, as the case may be) that manages your pension.

• In person at the Spanish Ministries of Labour, Migration and Social Security abroad. Regional Ministry of Labour, Migration and Social Security Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

• The specific means admitted in their country of residence.

Yes. If you have a tax residence certificate, you can attach it via the application. 

You will also be able to check the validity date of the certificates you have submitted. 

All documentation will always be available to you in the application, from where you can download it.

Once you have clicked on the button "click to provide proof of life", and the video-identification has been carried out, you will receive a JUSTIFICATION of proof of life that you can consult whenever you wish. Within approximately 24 hours, you will receive the RESOLUTION signed by the National Social Security Institute for the proof of life.

You can check the next proof of life period in the application itself.

As long as you have the application downloaded, you will receive messages reminding you of the start of the proof of life period.

Yes, provided that you have informed the Provincial Directorate administering your pension of your country of residence.

Yes. You can amend the bank account by clicking on the"Bank details"button available in the "More Procedures" section of the home screen.

To change the account, you must be the holder of the new account and the account must correspond to your country of residence or be in Spain.

No, unless you provide a Spanish account. The account to which your pension is paid must match your country of residence. 

No, this data must be modified by the guardian.

Yes, you can have your pensions paid into different accounts, as long as they are in your country of residence or in Spain. In VIVESS you will be able to select each of your pensions and update your bank details.

You will receive a notification in the app when the change has taken place. In addition, once the change has been made, you will see the updated information in the payment details or address details section.
