New features

  • Payments relating to the June pension payments will be made on the 23rd. The method of payment will depend on your bank.

  • The Sub-Directorate-General for Civil Service Pension Management IS NOT AUTHORISED to certify pension contributions or services rendered to the State. To do so, they should contact the Human Resources Department at their most recent place of employment.

  • CHANGE TO BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER: If your bank account details have changed, either because your bank has merged with or been taken over by another bank, or for any other reason, we would like to remind you that, in order for your pension payment to be processed, you must notify the Sub-Directorate-General for Civil Service Pension Management in writing of the change, providing your new account number.

  • PENSIONERS LIVING ABROAD: Pensioners living abroad must provide proof of life in order to continue receiving their pension, by means of the relevant Certificate of Life issued by the Spanish consulate or embassy, which must be sent to this Directorate-General within the first quarter of each year. (The Consular Certificate of Life must have been issued between 1 January and 31 March).

  • The ‘ACTIVE RETIREMENT’ scheme, governed by Royal Decree-Law 11/2024 of 23 December, came into force on 1 April, with the aim of improving the compatibility of retirement pensions with employment.

  • The Pension Enquiries Portal, which can be accessed via the “Services” section, has been integrated with the Social Security Portal. If you have any enquiries regarding Civil Service pension, please select the following as the subject of your enquiry on the form : Pension Scheme.

  • Information note on refunds to mutual society members. The following link to the AEAT is available: https://sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es/Sede/irpf/mutualistas-solicitudes-devolucion.html. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ENCLOSE ANY DOCUMENTATION WITH YOUR APPLICATION.

  • The Civil Service pension customer service office, located at Avenida General Perón, 38, Madrid, is open from 9 am to 3 pm. We will only be able to assist you by appointment, which can be booked via the “Services” section of this website.

  • If you have any enquiries, please contact the helpline on 900503055 between 9 am and 3 pm, or use the Enquiries Form available in the “Services” section.

  • In the Civil Service Pensions section of the Social Security’s online portal (https://sede.seg-social.gob.es), members of the public may, either in their own name or through their representatives, carry out certain procedures relating to civil service pensions and benefits online. To carry out these procedures, you will need an electronic certificate, an eDNI or Cl@ve.

  • Law 31/2022 of 23 December on the General State Budget for 2023. Article 59.3:
    Amendment to Article 20 of Law 35/2006, concerning the allowance applicable to income from employment (insofar as it affects the calculation of the withholding tax base), and the introduction of a new paragraph 3 in the Transitional Provision. Article 47 of the aforementioned Act, which stipulates that these regulatory amendments shall apply to the calculation of the withholding tax rate in respect of income from employment paid on or after 1 February 2023, adjusting, where necessary, the withholding tax rate applied in January.
