If you wish to apply for the direct payment of a benefit for temporary disability, you can either fill out the appropriate form online and print it out or print it out and fill it out, and then send it in by ordinary post or hand it in to the appropriate Provincial Directorate.

Application for reimbursement of orthopaedic and prosthetic expenses due to occupational hazards by the INSS (Spanish National Social Security Institute).
This service makes it possible to request reimbursement of the expenses incurred by individuals for the supply and renewal of all orthopaedic appliances and prostheses prescribed by doctors, when these benefits are caused by an occupational contingency, and these contingencies are covered by the Spanish National Social Security Institute.
In order to claim reimbursement, it is not necessary that a temporary disability benefit has been recognised for the accident or illness.
The application must be accompanied by the medical report of the Public Health Service prescribing the orthopaedic material, as well as the invoices paid by the individual, with proof of payment.
The application may be submitted through the electronic office or the platform without a Social Security certificate:
- If the applicant has a digital means of identification (digital certificate, cl@ve system or electronic ID), he/she can request this procedure through the electronic headquarters, in the section Citizens / Variation of data / Submission of other documents, applications and communications. - If you do not have this means of digital identification, through the platform for applications and procedures without a certificate, locating the form in Procedures on Temporary Disability / Application for return of orthopaedic and prosthetic expenses due to professional contingencies of the INSS.
