What is the Welfare Unemployment Benefit?

Welfare Unemployment protection includes a financial benefit, as well as payments to the Social Security of the corresponding contribution for health care, family protection, and when appropriate, retirement.

Who can apply for it?

Aimed at unemployed workers who have been registered as job seekers for at least one month, who have not rejected any adequate job offers, and who do not receive income of any kind in excess of a 75% of the current Minimum Professional Wage, excluding bonus pays.

What procedures do you need to complete?

It is necessary to fill out an Unemployment Subsidy Application, and to provide the documentation that is indicated in the form.

Where is it processed?

At the Social Marine Institute Centre corresponding to your home address or over the Internet through the electronic office of the SEPE.
