General Scheme Special System for Domestic Employees. New services for electronic management, the e-Office and the RED System.

The Social Security Treasury General (TGSS) is designing new electronic services that allow procedures to be completed online relating to requests to register, deregister, change information and delete previous transactions for workers belonging to the Special System for Domestic Employees of the General Social Security System.

What can be managed?

Registration in the Special System for Domestic Employees.

Through this service, domestic employees may register in the Special System for Domestic Employees  of the General Social Security System.

During the registration process, the employees should fill in the information relating to their work activity in order to provide the Social Security Treasury General with complete information about their activity. Among others, they must include the details of the employer (Contribution Account Code [CCC], address, number of bank account in which the contributions will be paid, etc.), of the employee (DNI, Social Security Number [SSN], address, etc.) and of the employment relationship (date of starting work, type of contract, salary, contracted working hours, etc.).

Deregistration from the Special System for Domestic Employees.

Through this service, domestic employees may deregister from the Special System for Domestic Employees of the General Social Security System, giving notification of the end of their employment relationship.

Changes to information in the Special System for Domestic Employees.

Through this service you can notify changes to information relating to the type of contract, salary, etc. You may also correct certain information that has been incorrectly entered, replacing it with the correct information.

Deletion of previous registration/deregistration of workers in the Special System for Domestic Employees.

Additional service for cancelling previous registrations/deregistrations in the Special System for Domestic Employees. May be used in cases when the employee does not end up starting the activity or when they end their employment relationship after the originally planned date.
Cancellations may only be made before the registration/deregistration dates notified for the start or end of the employment relationship.

Within what deadlines must the requests be managed?

Deadlines for processing requests relating to these online services:

  • Application for registration of a domestic employee: must be submitted before the employment activity starts (up to 60 days before).
  • Application for deregistration of a domestic employee: to be notified within the period of 3 calendar days after the end date of the employment relationship.
  • Application for modifying information: to be notified within the period of 3 calendar days after the date on which the modification occurred.

Necessary requirements for completing the process through these services:

It is necessary to have the employer's Contribution Account Code and the worker's Social Security Number.

If you do not have the employer’s CCC or the worker's SSN, you can get them from the Social Security e-Office or through the CCC allocation and registration for individual employers service and the Assignment of Social Security number service.

If the RED authorised party has been assigned the Affiliation Number (NAF) of the employer, you can request the employer's Contribution Account Code through the RED System via the Individual Employer CCC Assignment Service.

Who can manage these requests?

  • The employer or head of household who is employing or has already hired a worker who carries out domestic tasks or looks after members of their family.
  • Domestic employees who provide services for less than 60 hours per month, as long as they have previously agreed such with the employer.
  • RED authorised party acting on behalf of the employer.

Where can the services be found?

They can be found in the Social Security e-Office (SEDESS) and on the RED System.

In the e-Office

On the RED System

  • Through a RED authorised party that has been assigned the employer's NAF or their Contribution Account Code corresponding to the Special System for Domestic Employees.

Support and care

Through the telephone care service (901 50 20 50), the TGSS answers users' queries relating to the online services.
