Understanding orders and making themselves understood in everything to do with the responsibilities of watch keeping. Keeping boiler watch detail: maintaining correct steam pressures and water levels. Starting up emergency equipment and applying emergency procedures.

Purpose	Train participants to master the following skills: Identify, define and draw a diagram of the most commonly used elements in refrigeration plants. Understand the main parts of mechanical components, being able to take part in operations to change oil or replace broken components. Understand the composition and operation of mechanical compression refrigeration facilities, completing start-up and shutdown sequences. Assemble and maintain cooling facilities. Identify critical operating parameters to determine correct operation. Identify the most common failures.
Requirements	Professional Certificate/Qualification: Basic training certificate or Basic safety training certificate or Registration in REM for land activity. Additional training: Accredit knowledge of refrigeration facilities by at least one of the following methods: Standard course on refrigeration facilities. Work experience (6 months) with refrigeration installations. A Certificate of Studies from an Official school that includes and specifies knowledge of refrigeration facilities. Providing first aid on board.
