Managing and Submitting Applications

  • The pension application is submitted to the corresponding management entity, the National Social Security Office (INSS) or, in the case of workers included under the scope of the Special Scheme for Sea Workers, the Marine Welfare Institute (ISM).

  • The application may be submitted up to 6 months prior to the date that the worker expects to leave the job, and it must be accompanied by a certification from the company indicating its commitment to hire a replacement.
