Territorial scope referred to in the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of 28 September 2021, declaring the island of La Palma (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) an area seriously affected by a civil protection emergency.
As an alternative to the deferral provided for in paragraph 1 of Article 10 of Royal Decree-Law 20/2021, companies with a main contribution account code in any of the provinces corresponding to the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands and self-employed workers in this Autonomous Community , included in any Social Security scheme, affected by the volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma, provided that they are up to date with their Social Security obligations, may request and obtain a moratorium of up to one year without interest on the payment of Social Security contributions and for joint collection items, which accrue, in the case of companies, between the months of October 2021 and May 2022, and, in the case of self-employed workers, between the months of November 2021 and June 2022.
