School Insurance benefits

To apply for the benefit, you can access the service on the Social Security Benefits Portal, or download and print the corresponding form and, once completed and accompanied by the required documentation, submit it at the Social Security Information and Assistance Centre (CAISS), you can request an appointment here, or send it by ordinary mail to the Provincial Directorate closest to your home address.

If you wish to apply for an extension of the neuropsychiatry benefit, you must use the School Insurance Benefits form. The application for an extension must be submitted within 30 days before the end of the previous period, and extensions formalised outside this period are not payable.

If you wish to apply for the resumption of the neuropsychiatry benefit after interruption of medical treatment, you must use the Application for Resumption after Interruption of Neuropsychiatry Benefit form.
