In the last month, 21,167,154 new affiliates were registered, discounting the seasonal and calendar effects. Average affiliation, the original series, also shows a very positive first half of the year, with 556,879 more than at the beginning of the year. In June, this figure was close to 21.4 million affiliates (21,392,889).

There are 144,000 more active benefits than a year ago. The MVI protects more than 750,000 minors, 41.2 per cent of beneficiaries. Since its launch, it has reached 831,905 households and protected 2,465,281 people.

As of 15 July, there were 21,416,521 members. This is 96,116 more employed people than at the end of June. Disregarding seasonality and the calendar effect, 337,992 jobs have been created since the beginning of 2024.

The value of the Fund as at 31 December 2023 was 5.578 billion euros, after adding 3.438 billion that year, thanks largely to the Intergenerational Equity Mechanism (IEM) which has been operational since January 2023. So far in 2024, it has already added 1.444 billion euros to this amount, bringing it to 7.022 billion euros as of 31 May. The Reserve Fund is expected to end the year with 9.2 billion euros.
