21/06/2021- Procedure Provide documentation accrediting the Existence of ERTE

It is hereby notified that the Procedure "Provide supporting documentation / Existence of ERTE", previously included in the subject "Contribution", has been re-catalogued and is now available in the subject "Affiliation, registrations and cancellations"".

22/04/2020- New procedure "Request for Social Security Number"

Obtaining the  NUSS by authorised RED users in relation to workers  whose registration on the RED system will be communicated at a later date,can be done via CASIA, through the "Request for Social Security Number" process, located at the following path:

Affiliation, registration and deregistration > Employed Workers’ Registration > Request for Social Security Number

16/07/2020- CASIA: implementation of new controls

New controls have been implemented in the RED Authorised Person Service, CASIA (Coordination, Attention and Integral Support for the RED Authorised Person) aimed at guaranteeing the quality of the additional data communicated, thus avoiding the opening of cases with insufficient or erroneous information that require new information be requested, implying a delay in their resolution.

The controls established are based on the obligation to fill in certain additional data depending on the type of case, subject, category and sub-category, the correspondence between them and the format validations. In addition, in cases of type "Process", a single line will be displayed to report additional data, so that the automatic filing of the documentation in the electronic file corresponding to the CCC/NAF is made possible.

To consult the additional data that must be reported in each case, you can consult the Manual para la utilización del servicio CASIA published on the Social Security website at the following path: Useful Information/RED/CASIA System: Coordination, Attention and Integral Support to the RED Authorised Person/Manuals and Dissemination. However, it is recommended that as much data as possible be provided.

31/07/2020- Opening of new Procedures

Three new procedures have been included in the service for the RED Authorised Person, CASIA (Coordination, Attention and Integral Support for the RED Authorised Person) with Subject Company Registration and Category Change of data. The procedures are:

  • Responsible Declaration F.D.Turismo.
  • Responsible Declaration 062.
  • Responsible Declaration 064.

As additional information, the documents corresponding to each procedure and the Responsible Declaration forms to be provided have been published in the Documentation for CASIA procedures and the Technical Matters case form section.

01/10/2020- Update of the documentation related to RED Authorisation Management Procedures.

In the RED Authorised Person Service, CASIA (Coordination, Attention and Integral Support for the RED Authorised Person), the documentation relating to the RED Authorisation Management Procedures has been updated in the CASIA Procedures Documentation and the Technical Matters case form section .

The updated documentation relates to the following procedures:

  • Application for Change of Transmission Medium.
  • Application for Change of Main User of a RED Authorisation.
  • Application for Change of Type of RED Authorisation.
  • Application for Change of Address of RED Authorisation.
  • Application for Change of Company Name of a RED Authorisation.

In the documents for each procedure, there is a link to the appropriate form to make the corresponding application.

The "CASIA service usage manual" has also been updated and is published on the Social Security website at the following path: Useful Information/RED/CASIA system: Coordination, Attention and Integral Support to the RED Authorised Person/Manuals and Dissemination.

08/01/2021- Queries and Errors/Incidents Support Closed.

In order to ease management and avoid the accumulation of pending cases that cannot be resolved, from  on 7-1-2021,   the Consultation and Error/Incident cases will change to Closed - Ex officio when 20 calendar days have elapsed since they have been in Open - Information Requested status without the requested information or documentation having been provided. 

The closure of the case will be notified by means of an e-mail sent to the address provided through the Enquiry/Contact Details Change Service.


12/02/2021- Opening of new SE Household Procedures

Two new procedures have been included in the service for the RED Authorised Person, CASIA (Coordination, Attention and Integral Support for the RED Authorised Person) with Subject Affiliation, registrations and deregistrations and Category Change of data for SE Household workers. The procedures are: 

  • Change Contract retroactive effect
  • Change No. hours/month retroactive effect

08/03/2021- Notice of CASIA Closure

Due to maintenance and application updates, the Customer Service and Support Centre (CASIA) will be closed from 19:00 hours on Monday 8th March until early morning on Tuesday 9th March.

11/03/2021- CASIA Updates

  • Collection Segment Opening:

The Collection segment has been opened in the list of segments available in Casia. As a result, the process of Providing documentation accrediting late updates of settlements has been renamed as "Collection". This renaming only affects cases that are opened from now on, cases that are already open will not be affected. The catalogue of collection procedures will be gradually expanded. 

It is very important that the correct cataloguing of each of the procedures is respected so that they can be dealt with by the competent Service Unit. 

  • New sub-statuses within the Closed Status: 4 new sub-statuses have been created within the Closed Status, applicable only to procedure cases, as these cases inform the meaning of the resolution on the merits of the matter raised in the request:  Upheld, partially upheld, dismissed, inadmissible.


12/03/2021- Casia Closure Notice

For maintenance and upgrades, the Customer Service and Support Centre (CASIA) will be closed on Sunday 14th March from 08.00 to 12.00 hours.

01/07/2021- New CASIA Functionalities

Three new functionalities have been added to the CASIA service:

  • Opening of cases originating from the Social Security General Treasury.
  • Opening of Queries on Collections.
  • Closing of Formalities

All new developments have been added to the CASIA Service User Manual available on the website.


08/03/2022- Opening of Affiliation and Collection Consultation Procedure

Opening of Affiliation and Collection Enquiry Procedure

We hereby inform you that the procedure for providing documentation accrediting the status of Non-Profit Entities referred to in RED Newsletter 3/2022 is now available in Casia.
Two specific categories have been opened within the Subject of Collection to make enquiries or report errors/incidents relating to the procedure for the rectification of late settlements initiated ex officio.

11/02/2022- New developments in the Inadmissibility of Procedure Cases

New developments in the Inadmissibility of cases of the "Tipo Trámite” (Procedure Type) cases.

From 10 February onwards, with the Inadmission of a Procedure, an administrative communication of Inadmission of the Procedure is generated, which will be available within the CASIA case itself, explaining the reason for the Inadmission of the procedure and specifying the correct way to carry out the procedure or to submit the required application.


05/11/2021- Notice of CASIA Closure

The Customer Service and Support Centre (CASIA) will be closed for maintenance and application updates from 18:30 on Friday 05.11.2021. It will be operational again from 15:00 on Saturday, 06.11.2021, Spanish mainland time.

18/07/2022- New CASIA Procedures

New Casia Procedures

The following new procedures have been included in the "CASIA (Coordination, Attention and Integral Support to the Authorised RED)" service for the Authorised RED:

  • Affiliation Matters, registrations and deregistrations: the data changes indicated may be requested by Casia once the notification period available in RED has elapsed:
    • Trading group
    • Occupational Classification
    • Special Work Report
    • Contribution exclusion
    • Relief
    • Reason for replacement
    • Inactivity_CTP_Activity Strike/ERE
    • Additional Affiliation Situations
    • Loss of Profit
    • Other Data on the Employment Relationship
    • Request for notification of ERTE outside the RED deadline.
  • The Casia catalogue is also extended to the following procedures that cannot be carried out through the functionalities of the RED System:
    • Application for the Entry of Back payments
    • Applications for distribution of contribution limits for pluri-employment.
  • The following existing ERTE procedures have been withdrawn:
    • ERTE and Special Situations 406
    • Provide documentation of the existence of ERTE.


18/10/2022- New CASIA Procedure

New Casia Procedure

The following new procedure has been included in the "CASIA (Coordination, Attention and Integral Support to the Authorised RED)" service for the Authorised RED:

  • Var. Contingency Coverage Data

This procedure will be available in Company Registration, Category Variation of data (for all Regimes except 0138) and Category Variation of Employers' data S.E. Household (only for Scheme 0138), the latter also newly created.
