Procedure for Contributory Unemployment Benefits

The general procedure is shown below.

What is the Contributory Unemployment Benefit?

It is a financial benefit granted to those workers who,  being able and willing to work, lose their job or have their regular working day temporarily reduced.

Who can apply for it?

All employed sea workers, both those who receive a salary and those paid with a profit share system, who make contributions for unemployment.

What procedures do you need to complete?

You need to fill out an Unemployment Benefit Application and provide the documentation indicated in the form.

Where is it processed?

At the Social Marine Institute Centre corresponding to your home address or over the Internet through the electronic office of the SEPE.
