You can request information by telephone about the Initial and Advanced Specific Healthcare Training courses through the Provincial Directorates of the Social Marine Institute (ISM). In addition, you can request online access from the Social Security e-Office, using the following link: Social Marine Institute professional maritime and healthcare training courses, and through the mobile application called "ISM in your pocket".

In the case of crew members on board international seagoing ships, if the validity period of the certificate expires during a voyage, the certificate shall remain valid until the date of arrival at the next port of call where the seafarer concerned can obtain a medical certificate issued by a medical practitioner of the Social Marine Institute, provided that this extension of validity does not exceed three months.

You can request an appointment online from the ISM App in your pocket or through the Social Security e-Office. It can also be obtained by contacting the Maritime Health Centres by telephone or in person.

This review can be requested through the Electronic Register of the Social Security e-Office, attaching the corresponding documentation. It will be processed online or in person in the case of 30 and 60 mile type C kits when this has been stated in the request.

Shipowners of companies registered in the Special Social Security Scheme for Seafarers can apply for it, provided that it is due to a common disease or due to an accident at work or occupational disease, if the company is covered by the ISM. Provided that it complies with the requirements set out in the Order of 19 November 1997 of the Ministry of Work.

You can obtain a new medical certificate of fitness, through the Social Security e-Office, in the Medical Certificate of Fitness and Medical Report Service with electronic identification, also from the app "ISM in your pocket" or by requesting it at an ISM maritime health centre.
