Risk during breastfeeding

The economic benefit covers the loss of income that occurs when a worker has her work contract suspended because of risk when breastfeeding a child under 9 months old, if the case is one where she should change her job or activity for one that is compatible with her condition and this is technically or objectively impossible or cannot be required for justifiable reasons.

This new benefit is included in the protective action of all the schemes of the Social Security System and will apply as of 24-03-07, although the birth may have occurred before this date, if the child is not yet 9 months old.
