| Purpose: |
It is a financial benefit for unemployed workers that meet the following requirements:
- Having been registered as a job seeker for one month, without having rejected any suitable post offer or refused to participate in employment promotion, training or skill recycling activities, unless justified.
- Lacking income of any sort that exceeds 75% of the current monthly Minimum Inter-professional Salary, not counting extraordinary pay.
In addition, the worker must be in any one of the situations that would qualify him or her as a beneficiary of the benefit. |
| Beneficiaries: |
- Workers that have used up their contributory unemployment benefits and have family responsibilities.
- Returning emigrant workers.
- Workers over 45 years of age who have used up their unemployment benefits and did not have family responsibilities.
- Workers over 45 years of age who have used up their 24-month unemployment benefits.
- Workers over 52 years of age.
- Workers that, at the time of becoming legally unemployed, have not covered the minimum contributory period in order to qualify for a contributory benefit.
- Workers that are declared as fully able or partially disabled after their cases are reviewed due to an improvement in the condition of Outstanding Disability, Absolute Permanent Disability or Total Disability for their habitual profession.
- Ex-prisoners and inmates who have had their sentences suspended due to drug rehabilitation.

| Amounts: |
- 80% of the current Public Income Indicator with multiple effects.
- In the case of the special subsidy for workers older than 45 years of age:
- 107% of the current Public Income Indicator with multiple effects, for workers with 2 or more family members in their care.
- 133% of the Public Indicator of Multiple Effect Income in force with 3 or more dependent family members.

| Periods: |
- From the day following the waiting month, if any, as long as the application is filed within 15 days after the waiting month is over.
- If it is applied for after the deadline, both the entitlement to the benefit and the benefit itself begin on the date of application.
- The special subsidy for the long-term unemployed will begin on the day after the ordinary unemployment benefit is used up.

- Subsidy application on the standard form.
- Identification of the applicant, spouse and dependant children included in the application, by means of original and valid documentation:
- Spanish citizens: National Identity Document (D.N.I).
- Foreigners with Spanish residence: For the purposes of identification: Foreigner Identity Card (TIE ) or identity document from their country of origin if they are a citizen of a country that is part of the European Economic Space or Switzerland. In any event, the Foreigner Identification Number (NIE).
- Family Register Book, or an equivalent document, in the case of foreign citizens.
- Certificate of the degree of disability issued by the Institute of the Elderly and Social Services (IMSERSO ) or the appropriate body of the Autonomous Community, or the decision of the National Institute of the Social Security (INSS), the Ministry of the Treasury or the Ministry of Defense which acknowledges pensioner status due to total or absolute permanent disability, serious disability, or retirement due to being permanently unfit for work or service.
- Court order or certification of the foster care stating the consent of the Public Body that is responsible for child protection in each territory, and the starting date of the foster care
- Ruling and/or settlement agreement, in cases of separation or divorce.
- For other specific cases, the necessary additional documentation may be consulted.
- Any other documentation that, in accordance with current regulations, the Employment Office requires.
