Coming into force
The Social Security Agreement between Spain and Brazil of 16 May 1991, in force since 1 December 1995, replaces the previous agreement of 25 April 1969. It was published in the Official State Gazette on 15 January 1996.
As of 19 May 2011, which is the date of implementation of the Multilateral Ibero-American Social Security Agreement by Brazil, the Bilateral Agreement shall only be applicable to health care benefits, temporary disability benefits, family protection benefits and the death grant.
