This service makes it possible to request reimbursement of the expenses incurred by individuals for the supply and renewal of all orthopaedic appliances and prostheses prescribed by doctors, when these benefits are caused by an occupational contingency, and these contingencies are covered by the Spanish National Social Security Institute.
In order to claim reimbursement, it is not necessary that a temporary disability benefit has been recognised for the accident or illness.
The application must be accompanied by the medical report of the Public Health Service prescribing the orthopaedic material, as well as the invoices paid by the individual, with proof of payment.
The application may be submitted through the electronic office or the platform without a Social Security certificate:
- If the applicant has a digital means of identification (digital certificate, cl@ve system or electronic ID), he/she can request this procedure through the electronic headquarters, in the section Citizens / Variation of data / Submission of other documents, applications and communications.
