What is it?

Electronic Payment is a method of payment implemented on the RED  System since March 2003. It is based on the issuing of a "Contribution Payment Receipt", as a result of the contribution calculations done by the Treasury General of the Social Security. This receipt consists of a data heading for the  Electronic Payment, which allows companies or professionals to pay in their contributions using various methods of payment (cashpoints, telephone banking or Internet banking).

This  method of payment eliminates the need for contribution documents from the TC1 series, as well as preventing possible errors in the calculation of the contributions to be paid, as they are calculated automatically by the TGSS .
