Time Stamping Service

The electronic time stamping of a document ensures that the information it contains has not been altered since the time at which the stamp was generated.
The services are provided for certain applications/systems or clients within the scope of the Social Security Department. A time stamp is requested from the Time Stamping Authority (TSA) with a summary (hash) of the information to be stamped. The TSA generates a time stamp with the summary, the date and time, taken from reliable time source, and its electronic signature. The stamp is then supplied to the party requesting it, who may attach it to the information to guarantee its integrity in time.

The ACGISS, as a trusted service provider, also constitutes a Time Stamping Authority, providing the infrastructure necessary to ensure the security and accuracy of the time stamping service. The applicable rules may be consulted in the relevant section.
