The economic benefit covers the loss of income that occurs when a worker has her work contract suspended because of risk during pregnancy, if the case is one where she should change her job or activity for one that is compatible with her situation and this is technically or objectively impossible or cannot be required for justifiable reasons.
This new benefit is included under the protective action of all the Social Security System schemes. From 24-03-07, it is considered to be due to professional risks.
