Required Ageing and Invalidity Insurance (SOVI) Pensions

The SOVI is a residual scheme applied to workers and rightful claimants who met the requirements of the cancelled scheme but are not entitled to a pension under the current Social SecuritySystem, apart from the widowhood pension of which they may be a beneficiary.

The publication of Law 9/2005, of 6 June, to make SOVI pensions compatible with widowhood pensions of the Social Security System (BOE 07/06), has made it possible to make the strict incompatibilities scheme to which the pensions of said scheme was subject more flexible.

The following pensions are included within its protective action:

• Old Age
• Disability
• Widowhood
