• All periods of insurance, contributions or employment accredited under the legislation of a State Party before the date of the entry into force of the Agreement, shall be taken into account for determining the rights arising under the terms of said Agreement.
  
  
• Benefits that were granted or refused by one or more States Parties before the Agreement came into force will be reviewed under the terms of the new Agreement, upon request of the interested parties. However, benefits paid as a single payment wil not be reviewed.
  
  
• The implementation of the Agreement allows for entitlement to benefits for contingencies that occurred before it came into force to be examined, although the payment of these benefits will only have the retroactive effects provided for in the legislation of the State Party granting them and will not be made for periods prior to that date.
