Can I use VIVESS if I live in Spain?

If you are registered in VIVESS because you were living abroad and have subsequently moved to Spain, you can use VIVESS to report your change of address abroad, if necessary.

What is VIVESS?
Category: Pensioners > Subject: VIVESS mobile applicationVIVESS is a mobile application available for Apple and Android that can be used by pensioners living abroad to complete the annual proof of life procedure.
The application allows you to carry out the procedure without having to go anywhere and obtaining immediate confirmation.
You can also use the application to change your payment method from cheque to bank transfer, change your payment bank account, change your residence address and submit your tax residence certificate, as well as obtain the various certificates related to your pension.
In addition, if you are in receipt of a minimum income supplement for a dependent spouse, your spouse can provide proof of life via the app.

How does VIVESS work?
Category: Pensioners > Subject: VIVESS mobile applicationTo use VIVESS you must follow these steps:
A) Download the application. Available on Apple Store and Google Play.
B) To carry out the registration. You will only need to perform this step once.To register, you will need to provide either your ID card number or your pension file number. You can also register with Cl@ve.
You must also enter your country of residence and your date of birth.
You must then select the document with which you are going to carry out the video-identification. To do this, show the back and front of the document to the camera, and show your face to the camera, following the instructions given by the application.
C) The proof of life. As a last step, click on "click to provide proof of life" and look at the camera again.
D) The application will issue an immediate proof of life.Actions available -
When do I have to provide proof of life?

- Between the period from 1 January to 31 March and
- Between 1 and 30 September

What happens if I do not provide proof of life within the specified period?

If I have two pensions, do I have to provide proof of life twice?

Do I have to take any steps after using the application to provide proof of life?
Category: Pensioners > Subject: VIVESS mobile applicationNo. Once the application has confirmed that you have successfully provided proof of life and the receipt has been issued, you do not have to take any additional steps. The following day, you will obtain the decision issued by the INSS (or ISM, as the case may be) in the same application, in which you are considered to have provided proof of life.

Is the use of VIVESS mandatory?

However, you may use the other means available to you if you prefer, i.e:
- Send the 'Fe de Vida' by ordinary mail to the Provincial Directorate of the INSS (or ISM, as the case may be) that manages your pension.

How do I know that I have correctly provided proof of life?

Within approximately 24 hours, you will receive the RESOLUTION signed by the National Institute of Social Security (or the ISM if applicable) for the proof of life.

Can I change the bank account into which my pension is paid through VIVESS?

To change the account, you must be the holder of the new account and the account must correspond to your country of residence or be in Spain.
