Benefit that consists of a lump-sum compensation paid by the Social Security to workers that have suffered injuries, mutilations or deformities as a result of a work accident or any occupational diseases, as established within the respective regulations, that have diminished their physical condition, though not to the point of it being considered a permanent disability.

This benefit is part of the protective actions of the General Social Security Scheme and the Special Seafarers' , Self-Employed Workers' and Coal Mining Schemes.
