New version of WinSuite32

As of 19 July, a new version of WinSuite32 will be available (version 5.4.1).

We wish to remind you that WinSuite32 will be automatically updated when you send in a file, so it is not necessary to update it manually.

However, it will also be available for download from the software area of the RED System.

WinSuite32 5.4.1 will contain the following features:

  • New button for exporting replies from the INSS for printing, which allows users to save *.FRI files in text format.

  • New help.

The content of the help for WinSuite32 has been updated to make it easier for it to be downloaded and updated in the future. It has been given a new structure:

With this new structure, users do not need to download the file "ayuda.exe" form the software area each time that a new version of help comes out, as they were doing up to now, because when WinSuite32 is automatically updated, users' help will be updated too.

Exceptionally, because of the new structure of the help, when updating to verson 5.4.1, you must follow these steps to integrate the help into WinSuite32:

    • When WinSuite32 has automatically updated, you must go to the software area of the RED System and download the help update file (ayuda.exe).

    • This file must be copied to the main WinSuite32 directory (the directory that contains "winsuite.exe") and run the file from this directory.

    • WinSuite32 will then launch.

The complete version of WinSuite32 (5.4.1), which can be downloaded from the software area of the RED System, includes the new help, so that users who use this installation do not need to download the new help file.

With this new version (5.4.1) of WinSuite32, users can use either of the two helps, the old one (until they download the new one) and the new version of help when they have downloaded it. In the next version of WinSuite32, only the new help will be active. To be able to use the help in future versions, users must necessarily download the file ayuda.exe, which is available in the download area.

  • WinSuite32 Uninstaller.

With this new version of WinSuite32, it is possible to uninstall WinSuite32, using the associated utility "WsUnInstall32.exe". By running it, users can delete the files in the"Winsuite32" directory.

There is a series of items associated with the program that is "installed" after the program runs for the first time (directories created?). These need to be "uninstalled manually", e.g., "cendar.tgb", "seguimie.rec", the INSS directories, INTERNET, VIPTC2, etc. ... because they may contain the users' personal information. A pop-up message in the uninstall utility will tell users which items have not been deleted.
