CHAPTER 1. LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCIES

 

1. Assess life threatening emergency (P.A.A.)
   Assess consciousness level
2. Check breathing and pulse
   Open airway
3. Clear airway
   Restore breathing (mouth to mouth)
   Removal of foreign bodies (choking)
4. Restore circulation (cardiac massage)
   Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (RCP)
5. Stop haemorrhages
   Place in lateral recumbent position
