MAINTENANCE AND STOCKING OF FIRST AID KIT
According to the mentioned Royal Ruling, the supply and replenishment of the first aid kit contents and of the antidotes will be the exclusive responsibility of the ship owner, without incurring any expenses for the crewmembers.
The first aid kit and the antidotes should be stored in an adequate place and be kept in good condition at all times. It should be refilled or renewed as soon as possible and, in any case, should be a priority in the supplying procedures.

The handling and maintenance of the first aid kit and the antidotes will be the responsibility of the captain or person in charge of the ship. He may delegate the responsibility of its use and maintenance to one or more crewmembers specially designated for their competence. They will be in charge of noting down in the On board drug administration logbook (DRAWER 11, First Aid Kits A and B), the medication given to each crew member, as well as periodically making a list of the medication, material or antidotes to be replaced as soon as possible, either because they have expired or because there is none left.
