ASSESSMENT OF LIFE THREATENING SITUATION

Quickly SURVEY THE SCENE and ENCOURAGE the victim and others TO RELAX.

  1. PROTECT. Avoid the worsening of the accident or the involvement of new victims.

    TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN SAFETY AND THAT OF THE VICTIM REGARDING:

    Scheme on danger situations

    Assess if the situation can be dealt with on site or if TRANSPORT is required to keep the victim away from the danger.

  2. ALERT. ASK OTHER COLLEAGUES FOR HELP.

  3. AID THE VICTIM. ASSESS CONSCIOUSNESS LEVEL

  4. Person verifying the level of conscience of the victim

    Call the victim, touch or tap the face, slightly shake the shoulders …

    NO; continue reading

    Ask for help, if you have not done so already.
    Place the victim in the lateral recumbent position (On a hard and flat surface) and undo tight clothing.
