Funding

• The Social Protection Research Fund –FIPROS- and the operations of the Committee for the Promotion of Social Protection Research are funded by the credit provided each year in the spending programme 48.95 “Social Protection Research Fund” of the General Treasury of the Social Security Expenditure Budget.
• To fund specific projects that are suggested by social protection specialists, which are in line with the research priorities set out by the Committee for the Promotion of Social Protection Research and its Advisory Committee, every year as of 2009, a Ministry of Labour and Immigration Order has been passed which sets the regulatory bases for awarding prizes aimed at funding studies and research into social protection and proceeds to the corresponding competition. Previously, from 2005 to 2008, grants were awarded for the same purpose.
